Fishponds Community Group

Our Vision at South & East Bristol Foodbank has always been about more than just food. Over the past 5 years we have partnered with Citizens Advice, employing 2 Advice Workers and employed 2 of our own Empowerment workers, who spend their weeks visiting our foodbank outlets and offering support and advice.

Earlier this year Lauren started as a Local Organiser at our Foodbanks, with the aim of bringing the community together to campaign for change locally. Having spent the summer visiting our foodbank outlets and listening to those attending the foodbank about what struggles they are facing or see in the community, our first community group has started at our Fishponds Foodbank, attended by staff , volunteers and members of the community (including those who have used the foodbank).
